Sacha Laurin began making abundant amounts of jewelry for friends and family, which led her to launch Kombucha Jewelry at the Whole Earth Festival at UCDavis in May 2012. By summer Laurin was making dresses, and by September she had blew herself out of the kombucha (haha!) by winning 1st place and audience choice awards at the 2013 Sacramento Film and Music Festival Fashion Challenge. This gave her the opportunity to be featured designer at the Sacramento Fashion Week in February 2014.
